Membership in the Leadership Asheville Forum

Leadership Asheville Forum (LAF) is composed of more than 200 members from Asheville and immediate surrounding communities. The common bond among the members is a desire to stay aware of the critical issues facing the Asheville-Buncombe community and to become engaged in finding solutions to these issues. In addition, members and guests at LAF sponsored luncheons and forums are treated to firsthand knowledge from government, academic and business leaders about “what is happening” in the area.

Great camaraderie, encouraged through the networking opportunities at the Critical Issues Luncheons and Evening Forums, exists among the members, community leaders and guests at those events.

An annual holiday party to celebrate our members and a spring social are very special events which are always lots of fun. These two social events allow members to get to know each other better and to participate in important Leadership Asheville Forum community outreach efforts.

The annual holiday party in December is held for members only and their guests, with no cost to the members. It is a time in which the organization reaches out to help MANNA Food Bank by asking members to bring an offering of food for that charity. 

Members are offered a healthy discount for the cost of the luncheons.  Members are encouraged to bring guests to the luncheons and evening forums.

The membership fee is used toward covering expenses of the Leadership Asheville Forum. We hope that you will consider becoming a member this year!
